The BioFire® FilmArray® Respiratory 2 (RP2) Panel
21 TARGETS IN ONE TEST
The BioFire RP2 Panel uses a syndromic approach to accurately detect and identify the pathogens most commonly associated with respiratory infections. Fast and comprehensive, the BioFire RP2 Panel offers an unprecedented run time of about 45 minutes, enabling higher efficiency and throughput on the BioFire® FilmArray® 2.0 and the BioFire® FilmArray® Torch Systems. Rapid respiratory PCR test results may enable better-informed diagnosis and treatment of patients. Quick turnaround on a broad menu of pathogens may also help clinicians make vital decisions regarding admission, isolation, cohorting, and additional diagnostic testing.

The BioFire System offers unmatched ease-of-use with just two minutes of hands-on time and results in about an hour. Training is minimal and the software walks you through the entire molecular testing process.
The BioFire FilmArray pouch is a multiplex PCR assay that stores all the necessary reagents for sample preparation, reverse transcription PCR, PCR, and detection in a freeze-dried format. During a test run, the BioFire System extracts and purifies all nucleic acids from the unprocessed sample. Next, it performs nested multiplex PCR in two stages. The first stage includes a single, large volume, multiplexed reaction. The second stage includes individual, single-plex reactions to detect the products from the first stage.
Using endpoint melting curve data, the BioFire System software automatically analyzes the results for each target on the panel. When the run is complete, the software reports whether each pathogen is detected in the sample. This information is printed in an automated response at the end of the test run.

As part of Stago’s continuous improvement commitment, STA® -Liatest® D-Di Plus* was developed as an evolution of the STA® -Liatest® D-Di, one of the most published D-Dimer assays, also FDA approved for aid in the diagnosis of Venous ThromboEmbolism (VTE).
n STA® -Liatest® D-Di Plus, the addition of a blocking agent improves the analytical and diagnostic performances of the assay by minimizing interferences to heterophilic antibodies, including rheumatoid factors (RF) and Human Anti-Mouse Antibodies (HAMA).
Less Interferences for more efficacy
Immunoassays, which are commonly used in the diagnostic testing, may be prone to interferences with heterophilic antibodies, when present in patient plasmas. The prevalence of these interferences with D-Dimer assays in the diagnosis of VTE is low but may cause an overestimation of the result.
